The fund has been established as a perpetual self-sustaining fund administered by the Christian Women of Queen of Apostles Parish. It is the intent of the Father Carl Alberte Fund to aid deserving students in obtaining a Catholic High School education and as long as the intent can be reasonably fulfilled, the funds shall be used for this purpose. Should this intent no longer be feasible, any monies in the fund are to be used for scholarships.
Father Carl Alberte was a huge supporter of Catholic education and believed it made a difference in the lives of children. He loved and admired school children and was an immense supporter of The Queen of Apostles Christian Women. This fund was created in his honor as a way to continue his love of Catholic education, and to assist deserving students with a means to continue their Catholic education.
Any Q of A parish member interested in attending a Catholic High School is eligible to apply. Applications are available in early April with interviews in early May. The recipients are eligible to receive $1,000 a year for all four years of high school as long as they continue to attend a Catholic High School. Each year two students are awarded the scholarship.
